On this International Youth Day, CIFORD Kenya proudly joined the global community in celebrating the power, vision and limitless potential of young people, especially girls, whose ideas, resilience and leadership are shaping brighter futures for their communities and the world.

In many spaces, women remain underrepresented in leadership, and as a result, many of their challenges remain unsolved. From healthcare and education gaps to economic opportunities and protection against harmful practices, these issues are often overlooked simply because there are too few women at the decision-making table.

Through our Girls for Leaders initiative, we are changing this narrative. By guiding and teaching girls at an early age, we equip them with the confidence, knowledge and leadership skills they need to not only dream of change but to make it happen. These young leaders are the future policymakers, advocates and community builders who will champion solutions that address women’s issues and uplift entire communities.

Every mentorship session, skills workshop and cultural dialogue we hold is a step toward a future where women’s voices are heard, valued and acted upon. Investing in girls today is investing in policies and solutions that benefit all.
“When girls lead, communities thrive.”
